    New FX Show: "Tyrant"

Caught the premier last night. Looks like another FX winner. Lots of potential.

    Anyone else see?

I DVRd it. Still haven't caught up with 24 yet.

This show seems to be pissing off the PC police. That is always a plus.

Good pilot, interesting premise. The women on the show supply eye candy

Missed it but the commercials for it during Fargo made it seem worth a shot.

I also DVR'd it because of the promos. Anxious to see the first episode.

GREAT first episode. As you said, potential on potential on potential. They "Tyrant" angle was played up so well in the promos, and the first episode carried out the suspense of the promos perfectly.

The acting-while not oscar worthy, was still above par for cable TV. And between that and the incredible script, the first episode was so good and seemed so plausible, that it actually had me a bit disturbed and wanting to turn away from the show at parts because of what they were portraying. And there were definitely a bunch of non-PC moments.

Hopefully they can see this through to a solid season or two.

    Yep, very good.

His wife plays the incredibly naive blond American bimbo to a T.
Everything is just rainbows and unicorns, blind to reality, just like the progressive liberal PC army.

Anyone keeping up with this? Turning out to be a great show. Plus, Jamaal's wife and his son's wife are absolute bombshells.

    Watched #2 and 3 yesterday.

Yellow haired naive white woman is in for a world of pain when she inevitably gets kidnapped and thinks it's a surprise trip to the mall. Woops.

Think of reverse Coming To America but replace Africa with Middle East.

this guy is the son of a tyrant in a middle eastern country. he ran away as a kid and hasn't been back in 20 something years. his nephew is getting married and the guy decides to go back for the first time in 20 something years. once he's there, **** goes down.

i've been into it since the start. seems like it's a great show. i love FX, they really push the envelope with their shows. i'm itching to see what the do with the other new show The Strain that premiers this sunday.
