Post Arbitrator rules Jimmy Graham a TE. Colts WR Brazill suspended at least a year.

Arbitrator Stephen Burbank has ruled that Jimmy Graham is a tight end for franchise designation purposes.
Graham split off the line of scrimmage on 67 percent of his snaps last year, but he was drafted as a tight end, goes to tight end meetings and called himself a tight end in his Twitter bio. It led to the Saints winning the case, meaning they're scheduled to pay Graham $7.035 million on his one-year tender instead of the $12.312 million he would have gotten as a wide receiver. The two sides will continue to work on a long-term deal before the July 15 deadline, and now the Saints have a little extra leverage in negotiations. For fantasy purposes, Graham will retain his tight end eligibility and will not be adding wide receiver status. He's the biggest difference-maker at the fantasy football's thinnest position.

NFL suspended Colts WR LaVon Brazill for at least one season for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
A multiple offender, Brazill was suspended the first four games of 2013 for the same offense. Brazill was unlikely to make an offensive impact for the Colts this season, but his steady contributions on special teams will be missed. The Brazill ban opens the door for Da'Rick Rogers and rookie Donte Moncrief to battle for playing time behind T.Y. Hilton, Reggie Wayne, and Hakeem Nicks.

Agree. It is an absurd argument on any level.

It sucks for Graham because he is one of the top 5 or 6 receiving threats in the league and he's going to lose big $ but it's a nonsense argument.

His argument should be with the players union - The CBA is clear - next time the CBA is up he should fight with the union to fix it.

It is unfair that he gets paid that much less, but that's the deal.

He's listed as a TE, has played the TE position, and publicly identifies (on twitter) as a TE. I mean, how can they rule otherwise?

Agreed. The union should base things upon production and not position. That alone will raise salaries and competition.
