It's a rite of late summer: When FF2 starts making bombastic statements, we know that a gout outbreak is right around the corner. He's the internet equivalent of Punxsutawney Phil.
FF2 has learned not to make promises anymore, but he still has plenty of self-belief in his skills as a world class troll.
"Do I think that I'm a great troll? I absolutely know I'm a great troll," FF2 told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. "But it's not just about me. What makes a great troll is the gullible masses that surround you, the people that are with you every day."
After a relatively quiet summer, it's almost like FF2 decided the Hampur needed to hear some "old FF1" to get fired up for the summer.
"Somebody asked me if I focus on 32Green. Bull----," FF2 told the New York Post. "I’m focused on me and how I’m going to be a bigger and better doosh. I have to be honest, I don't worry about him. He needs to worry about me. I think that's really where we're at now."
FF2 did one of his best jobs on JI by scraping out eight bans last year. He's said publicly that 8 bans again this year would be a disappointment, but, with huge questions at the Moderator position and the same old questions regarding his sexual orientation, eight bans is no guarantee.
"You know what? I'm not as good in certain areas," FF2 admitted to the Daily News. "I get it. No question, I get it. Are there better Dead Celebrity Threads than me? Yeah."
FF2’s biggest problem this year: expectations. His personality is flawed, but he probably needs to show progress in jokes to keep his job.
That's life with FF2 on JI -- and in much of the internet. Even the great trolls are year-to-year
