Question WR Denarius Moore? Should the Jets be interested?

ESPN Raiders reporter Paul Gutierrez believes Denarius Moore is "squarely on the roster bubble" in Oakland.

Moore was listed with the third-team offense on the Raiders' initial depth chart behind Andre Holmes, James Jones, Rod Streater, and Greg Little. The coaching staff may be trying to light a fire under him, but there's also been talk over the past year that coach Dennis Allen and company have soured on Moore. Entering the final year of his rookie deal, Moore could be shopped via trade later this month. He's still just 25 and has gobs of talent. Work ethic is the concern.

For a 6th round pick I'd give him a shot.

Of course we're interested. We've been interested in every Raider WR since Lal got here. Moore is ok, but I hope we don't trade for him.

Jets have a lot of developmental receivers already. I could see NE or a team like Carolina or Jacksonville making a deal though

Does he jump when he catches the ball?

I would be more interested in getting rid of Lal... then bringing in another Raider WR..

That's the criteria the Jets use.

I was just reading this on rotoworld. This would be a nice pickup - did Lal work with him or had he left already?
At the very least, we pick his brain on the Raiders offense. Seriously, if you give something up now, you reap the rewards of having him acclimate to the offense vice waiting for him to be cut.

Well at least Moore has some NFL experience, I'd give up a 6th or 7th round pick and take a flyer on him.

This is the kind of low risk/high reward move I could see Idzik making.

Yeah, but we should have done that before we drafted 3 WRs. Moore is definitely an upgrade, but we already have a log jam at the WR position.

He does drop a lot of balls. 5 last year, and 9 in 2012.
Catches around 50% of the balls thrown his way.
If we didn't have to guarantee him anything, I'd give him a shot.
He gets open, and has a lot of YAC
Could be the QBs, and could just be the Raider way.

Maybe, maybe not. We did draft two 4th rounders and a 6th but one is likely heading for IR while another hasn't seen the field while fan favorite Stephen Hill may not be exactly instilling faith in the coaches with his no-show last night. Aside from that, Moore wasn't available before the draft so that's kind of not relevant.
As we see the team today, I can sign off on this. He'd be a better complement to Decker than anyone on our roster. I don't have a ton of faith in Ford or Hill while Nelson may not be starting material.

he would be our second best WR behind decker so yes if we can get him on the semi cheap get him- late draft pick is fine instead of wasting it on a guy like the QB we just drafted that will never see the roster...

You trade for him it's guaranteed where not gonna resign kerley.

I personally don't think we need him Kerley and Saunders got the slot position manned pretty well ..

Moore has been in trade rumors since before the draft.

We liked Moore very much his draft year. Rex even admitted as much.

But if his work ethic is bad then I just don't see us bringing him on. Good amount of talent though, no question. Excellent speed and quickness.

I'm down on our WRs besides Kerley and DEcker. The rest are all suspect. I had high hopes for Nelson but one play and he's hurt already. Buffalo cut him cuz he's always hurt. After nelson who's there? Hill is bad, the others are noobs, and Ford is a question mark until we see more.

God i can't get over not drafting Davonte Adams, god bless.

I'd definitely bring him in for a 6th or even 5th round pick. He's familiar with Lal, has time to learn the playbook, can make some plays and can easily fit in our WR staff as a 3rd WR.

Our qbs need help. Moore might not be top 20 in the league or anything but he's an upgrade imo to what we have after decker and kerley.

Yeah, I remember. I don't know how substantial they were then or now.

Ford probably has some insight to give on him although he would be in a tough spot to say anything positive since it could be his spot that Moore would take.

That would be a very bad trade-off.

If he gets cut we can look at him but I'm not giving up a pick. If he is that far below the jags mentioned above him he must be bad.

Btw, Chaz Schilens is alive and well.....in the CFL.
