He was a good salary cap guy, as long as his focus is on that, he could do fine. If they have him evaluating talent, on the other hand...

I am honestly not that convinced he was a great salary cap guy....all he did was backload some contracts and when it came time to pay do some restructures. He is the entire reason we were stuck with aging vets making far too much money with little room to sign players who could have actually made an impact.

It doesn't take a genius to charge up a credit card and then bail when the bill comes due; ask half of America.

Good luck. Thanks for the excitement you brought to the Jets. Came close twice to 2 Super Bowls, hired Rex.and drafted most of the players that will give us any chance to win games this year.

Good for the Phish- I see some financially sound contracts and genius draft picks in their future....or not.

Maybe they want him to be there when Revis is available.

If anyone knows how to negotiate with Darrelle Shavar Revis and his people, it's Michael Tannenbaum.

He's a good contract guy with unique perspective and creativity but not a good judge of talent. Was way wrong with Sanchez, but that did cost him his GM job... Maybe he learned something.

If people don't start looking objectively at what our GM has done, we might not just lose games, but an entire coaching staff and HC.If that happens this team will be running a new system, that some of our best players might not fit.

    Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 15m
To be clear, Mike Tannenbaum will continue living in NJ, working full-time as an agent for Priority Sports. Dolphins will be client of his.

That's odd. Sounds like a conflict of interest because Tannenabaum and Priority Sports represent individuals (players, coaches front office personnel, etc.) in negotiations with teams, not the teams themselves.
