Awful to hear about, but makes sense given his past struggles with cocaine.

Holy Sh_t. This one I didn't expect. The guy was so talented. But he had problems as of recently with alcohol specifically.

Damn. RIP. God bless. Supposedly, he was suffering from severe depression.

    They'll blame it on cocaine.

But the fault is the same as pretty much the rest of the tragedies that occur. He was obviously mentally ill. He did a good job off masking it with humor.

A brilliant man trapped in the confines of his own mind.

Very sad. Classic case of laughing on the outside and crying on the inside.

RIP and thanks for making us laugh over the years.

Thanks Robin for your great gifts that you shared with everyone. Awakening, Moscow on the Hudson,The Fisher King, your improvisation during your routines really were quite brilliant. Thanks and rest in peace.

I knew he battled substance abuse issues, but aside from falling off the wagon a few years ago (and immediately seeking help) he seemed to be doing well for the past 30 years or so. Never knew he was battling severe depression. I mean sometimes it just doesn't shock you (Kurt Cobain) but this one does.

World is a much colder place without him in it.

    RIP

One of my favorites. The genuine article in a town full of phonies.

Very sad, but not incredibly shocked. He seemed to always be at war with his demons. Incredible talent.
