Sherry Bobbins episode on now. Season 8 is IMO the best. Every episode is awesome.

This might be favorite clip in the whole show. The look on Homers face is great. Tried so hard not to to laugh https://vimeo.com/104261139

As we hit season 10, conversation tails off considerably. I did like Kidz News and "Behind the Laughter", but I've only seen a few a year after that, and they are somewhere between unfunny and a few chuckles an episode.

Yeah I'm pretty much done with the marathon now. I have a bunch of episodes I missed overnight queued up in the DVR, but as of right now the golden era of the show is over.

On a related note, I can't believe there's going to be a Simpsons/Family Guy crossover. That's wrong on so many levels. Family Guy is a cheap, low-rent imitation of Simpsons, and could never touch the warmth or brilliance that most of the older episodes regularly demonstrated. I remember reading that after The Critic crossover, the writers vowed never to do that again. This a transparent ploy by Fox to drum up ratings for two shows that should have ended a decade ago.

It was tough to watch, yes. The characters weren't completely fleshed out and therefore didn't have all of their behaviors, quirks and catch phrases down and such. Simple difference of opinion is all, it's about preference. To me, they just weren't that funny.

+1! I wanted to bring this up; but we're all the way into season 10. "life from Hell" had something; "it" was present in those first two seasons of Simpsons.

I'm taking you all out for frosty chocolate milkshakes!
