I'm not saying I expect to win in a blowout, I'm just a little surprised that Vegas sees us as barely better than Oakland. Our roster is a lot better than theirs almost across the board.
Once again, it's amazing how the media can manipulate the perception. I just hope after we win early and often after take-off, that we keep our heads. It seems the famous Jets under Rex Ryan can't handle success after knocking off a couple the better teams in the NFL. This year we must start fast on offense and play aggressive till the final gun. Our plus minus tournover ratio has to be completely the opposite of last year which we all know will be the real key to the season. Just plus something and not -13 will do it. The ball has to bounce our way one of these years. I've bet the famous Jets to win the division at 4/1 odds in Vegas. I really believe we can do it. We must beat the Pats twice to pull it off, probably on a tiebreaker. It's here! The season we've all been looking forward to! 2014.

    Sorry, that's the last one.

That's because they're feeding off the idiots who buy into the hype that the Jets are a last place team and won't be able to keep anyone under 30. They did the same last year and raped all the idiots (and hopefully, so-called experts) who laid down cash against the Jets believing they were a 2-win team. Vegas isn't stupid.

I know the offense is improved but 41 points is asking a lot.

The real difference between 4.5 and 5.5 isn't much.... 3 and 7 are the big numbers... floating between 2.5 and 3.5 and 6.5 and 7.5 are huge swings... 4.5 to 5.5 is easy for them.

I'm not superstitious or anything but isn't 13 a bad luck number? lol. Also, i don't believe by saying I don't even think the raiders can score 10 pts will in any way jinx the jets so i'm going to say we whoop they asses, that's right.

Can someone tell me what happened with Denarius Moore? I thought he was going to be a star for them.

That it jumped by one point on the same day is a very big deal. That's what the point is here. It indicates people are betting heavy on the Jets to cover and Vegas floated too low a number. Bettors understand the significance of starting a rookie QB on the road against a defensive-minded coach who's had time to scheme. At least the smart money understands. There'll still be plenty of takers thinking 5.5 is a good deal and take the Raiders.

I don't recall seeing numbers swing as big as you suggest.

Taking the over on -5.5 will be the smartest move you can make with your money all year. Vegas is going to make a killing off of all the neanderthal casual fans who still think the Jets offense is the same as it was in 2013.

Also remember that Rhaiders fans grown a huge boner on Carr after a couple of preseason games. So they are very confident.

I expect an old-fashioned ass-kicking. I expect Carr to have a rough day, turning the ball over at least twice. Gone is the vanilla stuff that he is used to from preseason. The Jets running game will dominate and Geno will protect the ball.
