Post any waiver wire CB's who were released today that you think the Jets should look at and why.

I'd love to take a flyer in Terrance Mitchell. I heard he was having a good camp so I'm kind of shocked they cut him. At times last year he looked really good for Oregon.

CB Charles James, who has drawn praise from his teammates all summer for his fearless play and his confident attitude, was also cut by the Giants on Tuesday. He Tweeted the release this morning and said he was “shocked” by the news.

Bennett Jackson. Giants trying to sneak him onto their PS, had a good camp and preseason.

Definitely worth a look hasn't been playing CB long (started as WR in college) so should have plenty room to improve

Also Victor Hampton. He's quite talented and dropped in the draft due to some off the field concerns.

I was about to mention him, not only did he drop but I think he went undrafted.

Yeah, he has a real attitude problem and was benched because of it. Plus he's only 5'9, but if he keeps his head on straight I think he'd excel playing against slot WR's. He also plays the ball well when it's in the air unlike Wilson.

Agreed. That's kind of how I saw him as well.

Cox or Bailey. The Jets need a decent, experienced guy even if neither one is really an ideal starter right now. Patterson was added partially because he was a veteran with starting experience and that's gone now. While our future is hopefully bright with guys like Milliner and McDougle there's only 1 NFL season of experience between them. Walls and Lankster are decent backups and still young, but this team needs a veteran when the bright lights turn on in Week 1.

EDIT: I'm referring to Derek Cox from the Ravens.

sounds like people were glad to see them go: http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2...marsh-released

"Both Marsh and Carmichael struggled majorly in the team's preseason games. It's far from a surprise to see they were cut."

    That's an understatement.

Going to have to keep an eye out for some guy another team's trying to sneak onto the practice squad.
