Adams from the hawks. There are only a few teams so deep at cb that they might just cut a usable player. Seattle is one.

Diving into cap hell this season while Geno and the young guys are still developing does not seem like a sound strategy.

We would have spent money on a stud if one was available.
Vernon Davis was our choice, before he became unavailable.
There were no other good options...yet.
Next year there will be quite a few FAs that fit our system.

Panic is never good. If Milner is ready by week 2 I'm not overly concerned. We were never going to have a very good #2 CB unless McDougle came along fast this season. Let's take a wait and see approach. Worst case scenario we march Wilson out there. People forget that he was OK when he had to play the #2 CB spot after Revis was injured a few years ago.

it's all part of Idtzik's plan to get rid Ryan.

As a major the sky is falling fan, you still would have picked the Jets to lose those games. Your point?

We choose to be fiscally responsible for a change.
Cro had a hip injury and had a bad 2013 season, we did not want to repeat when he was a year older.
McDougle and Milliner got injured. You can't forsee that.

+1 you cant prepare for everyone to get injured. Saying Idzik shouldve had a backup scenario to every CB that was injured is not really fair...you go into a season knowing youll have that player and build depth the best you can.

    To an extent you can.
What was a word on Milliner, even before he was drafted? Injury prone.
    On McDougle? Injury prone.
    On Peterson? Injury prone.
What injury prone players do? They got injured, and that exactly what happened. Sometimes risks are calculated, and sometimes are not acceptable. Idzik rolled the dice - and so far things are not looking too good.
Outside of CBs he had an excellent offseason, but with them he screwed the pooch.

Patterson falls on Idzik. Terrible signing.

we had money to spend and still have plenty left over-our gm **** the bed on this pick up-cro was hurt last year which has been covered a zillion times-notice he is on the cards still who have a better secondary than us with peterson and honey badger

there is nobody worth anything on the wire that is why they are there
are you an NFL scout? Do you know any of the players left to be signed? Are the Jets working on a trade? You don't know but spew doom and gloom. We beat some very good teams last year with a depleted CB group! NE for one; Atlanta was another. On any given Sunday!!!! Another thing you could be aware of is that NO QB can pass when he is on his butt. We are supposed to have a great pass rush this year. try smoking that. Did the vaunted Bears defense of 86 have any great CBs? The point is: there are more then two ways to skin a cat! Don't Give Up The Ship. When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

Talking jets claim CB Leon MFadden from Browns-- ok, way to go....

... Yes, I posted the same sentiment yesterday. Well, it was a mistake. He was trying to bargain hunt and take a gamble on a oft- injured guy,
hoping he would be 100% soon. didn't work. I like the pick up of CB Leon McFadden, son of a former pro baseball player. Lets hope for the
best with the CB situation. We are facing Aaron Rodgers, Brady, Cutler, etc, very soon.

Patterson contract was 1 year, $3m. Cromartie contract was 1 year, $3.25m.

You can argue a lot of different things. But I don't see how the deal was "fiscally responsible". After all you are taking about a guy who posted 6 games last season.

I'm not saying the Jets shouldn't have released him. I'm saying the Jets could have resigned him for $3M a year before he signed with the Cardinals.

Quinten Jammer on NFL network saying he's in shape and looking for work. Bring him in and see what he has left. I've officially pushed the panic button regarding the CB situation.
