It's either SOJ or the start of something special

In the past we have seen the precursor to today's game before...Jets talking trash, riding high after a win and warnings to other team not to take them lightly followed by an ugly loss and a new splash of reality. The Jets can make believers out of a lot of people by beating a team who everyone believes is a LOT better than them. Just go out snd play, good competitive football and please don't rip our still beating hearts out of our chest with the SOJ.

REX seems to always take his foot off the throttle and we follow great wins with lack luster performances. I agree with you..this is a BIG GAME for the JETS.

A win would make a very strong statement.

I don't think it's one or the other, the Jets are going into Lambeau Field, playing a quarterback that's won 28 of his last 30 regular season games at home. It's one thing if the Jets get blown off the field, but the idea that if the Jets lose to the Packers on the road is proof of SOJ, that's a little silly.

If we lose, everybody will go back to thinking that the jets are overrated.

If they play a good, close game and come up a bit short, I could take that as an encouraging sign. But, if Geno looks like a rookie and the secondary is a disaster, that would certainly be a huge red flag.

If the Jets lose, it's not SOJ by a long shot.

This game is going to be pretty difficult to come out with a win.

The Jets are going to have to play close-to the perfect game for that to happen.

Or Aaron Rodgers has to have an extreme off-night where he's Mark Sanchez-esque.

Disagree...week one is ALWAYS a big win. He was pissed by how UNDISCIPLINED HIS team was.

REX teams lack season long discipline.

We have talent now we need coaching to step it up too.

I'm sure Bart would love for the Jets to pull off the upset but I also think he doesn't want to be viewed as a Homer or be the only guy who picked wrong.

    It's an ego thing.

If beating the Raiders was a big win then the Fins and Bills must be ecstatic..

The last time we played them. What was the score. Like 10-9.
    Same head coaches for both.
Our d is better than the last time.
Their o is still a high output passing team with an average o line.
Our o line is not as good as the last game with the pack, but our qb, rb's, wr's, and te's are better.
    Their oc is the same.
    Our oc is way better.
Our DBS are questionable, but look ok against Oakland wr's that are far more inferior to the Packers wr's.
We are not expected to even compete against a 0-1 pissed of Packer team.
So it's a matter of our team refusing the number of penalties and turnovers. Can Rex and his staff actually get his team to do so? We will see.
If he's the coach that many believe he is then we are ready for a great game and a win. If he can't , then it's going to be a long day.
I feel they a ready to win it. I don't care what the score is.

    Go JETS!!!

Then forget I said the homer part but focus on the "don't want to be the only one wrong and look stupid" part.
