Thread: Send a Letter to a Soldier ( Please)

  1. #1
I know this is not Football but take the time to read and send a letter to at least one of these Brave Men and Woman. It are goal to overwhelm them with support and lift the human sprit.

Pass this list on to anyone you know who will send a letter.

    Thanks Greenblood.

Usually they tell you to send packages to the USO or "pool" addresses and you don't know exactly where it all ended up - this is a great resource, thanks

I don't support them though. Not that I wish them any harm, they should all just come home.

They did a great job capturing Saddam who was sedated for them by the Kurds. And also "rescuing" Jessica Lynch from a hospital.

Well atleast gas prices should drop now that we captured some more oil, I mean now that we have stopped an "evil doer."

Maybe they should invade the real threats to national security in the middle east like Saudi Arabia and Israel.
I don't think Greenblood wants you to support Bush's foreign policy. the fact in the matter is, we have a couple hundred thousand troops in iraq right now. so instead of trying to voice your opinion on whether we should be there or not, why dont you just send a card saying a simple thank you. the bottom line is these troops risk their lives for OUR security and freedom. b/c you send a card to a soldier does not mean you support bush it just shows a little gratitude

Sure...and maybe you should represent bin laden in court to make sure he receives a fair trial??!!

BTW: nice (sarcasm) to know we have an anti-semite on this board.

sec109 there's a difference between supporting the soldiers in the field and supporting the crooks in the Oval Office that put them there.

i'm with you politically - but it doesn't change the fact that my peers are over there making it happen in a sand-ridden craphole while you and I are chilling in luxury.

what im trying to say is you don't have to agree with war to support the soldiers.

Im an anti-semite because I feel our ties to Israel are what causes the muslim world to hate us? How can anyone support a country that is in the process of quaruntining people with razor wire fences? (Actually that is what Gov Bush does to protesters here in the land of the free.)

Look I went to GWU a 60% Jewish school. Some of my best friends are Jewish. I've visited Auschwitz where some of my relatives had died. So I guess that makes me an anti-semite.

Back to the topic. I don't have anything against the troops themselves and yes maybe I should send them something. I do disagree, however, with the sentament that they are protecting us. We are not being invaded we did the invading. Anyway, I hope they fix the mess we created over there and come home safely.
Guess you must've been in Auschwitz on 9/11/2001.......

With respect to GreenBlood's initial intention, political opinions should not be in this thread.

Actually I was on the roof of my office building watching the Pentagon burning.

How many Iraqi's were involved in September 11th? Many of the high-jackers were Saudi's yet we ignore them because Bush has such strong ties to the Saudi royal family. One member of the royal family "accidentally" was giving money to Al Queda. BTW what country is Bin Laden from?
Were terrorists involved in the 9/11 attack? Was/is Hussien a terrorist? Is/was Iraq a terrorist nation under Hussien?

How can anyone support a country that is in the process of quaruntining people with razor wire fences? (Actually that is what Gov Bush does to protesters here in the land of the free.)

Which protestors are these?

Does it matter? Look at the response to the Iraq question.

With respect to GreenBlood's initial intention, political opinions should not be in this thread.
Jesus H....... This was not suppose to be a @#%$ing political thread.

It's was plea for some compassion for those Men and Woman who are far away from home, not in a place they want to be.
As citizens you don't have to agree with the Policies of the administration ... but as a human being you should support your fellow citizens in the military.

Sorry if I took a moment of your @#$%$# time and thought you might give a rats ass about someone else. Oh it's see some more important topics are being dicussed .....OT:Most Underrated Actor?

Section109, give it up. This is by far the most reactionary board politically I've ever seen that wasn't hosted by townhall.com.

With that said, if you wish to be barraged endlessly by classic anti-liberal hatemongering, you should keep it on the "Non-football forum" and away from a thread whose main intention was to give an opportunity to reach out and support the ground troops -- an intention I agree with 100% as separate from the gesture of glorifying the jerks in the current Administration who sent them there.

Thanks for posting the list, GreenBlood.
I assume that means if someone doesn't agree with your view their wrong?? I'm a
Nam Era Vet and proudly served my Country so people like yourself could spit on me

Its hard to tell when you have a picture of Saddam and Then why did they join the military? Isn't that their job, to go off on the whims of the government's decisions? Besides, isn't the 87 Billion enough to sustain them? I guess they need some more money. Im just kidding, I have nothing against sending troops care-packages or whatever.

Yes my avatar says my true feeling about those two scum bags..... but your Just Kidding is B.S.
If I said the war protesters who died at Kent State got what was comming to them because they should support the Goverment . then said ....oh just kidding you'd rip me a new a$$hole. As you should...

Those Men and Woman over there are humans doing a job and getting paid crap money. That 87 billion is not going into there pockets Jr. It's going other places like the rebuilding of Schools , Water Pumping stations , and the defence of a new freedom in iraq. You take for granted the freedom that others just dream about.
Why is the USA considered snobs by others around the world it's because people like you who continue to take avantage of our freedoms but won't sacrifice a dime or a life to ensure the freedom of others.
So take you just kidding remark and shove up your .....

See you drove me and made it political ...@#$% it.
