Folks, this is going to be a very long year...............

If the Pat's fans gloat to nausea, we can attack their penis size, sexual preference, heritage, intelligence, and the origin of their children.

Unfortunately it is going to be very difficult to attack their team until the Jets at least win the AFC East again.

sigh

i'd rather have the superbowl victorys than a lame arguemnt saying that my 6-10 team has a better QB..I don't think Pennington is a better qb..but even if he is ..who cares! we were 6-10..brady has two superbowl MVP's..get over it.

bman- not really sure I care about your opinion, and I don't think I need you to tell me to get over anything.

State your opinion, but please don't tell ME how to think.

We suck.

Our coaching and FO is suspect AT BEST.

We could be in for a very long stretch.

I think Chad is a better QB than Brady.

YOU get over it, that MY opnion.

Agree or disagree, I DON'T GIVE a rats ass.

Chad is better than Brady.

The Jets have more talent.

The Pats need help from the refs.

The Pats are the luckiest team of all time.

The Pats suck...

blah blah..

Just take a look at my avatar. End of story.

Watch, New England has multiple picks again this draft, no way does New England use every one of their picks, they will either trade down, or trade away picks for more picks again next year, with today's FA, and the fact that their are players now on the Patriots that will come looking for their money, having won two Super Bowl rings in the last 3 years, these guy will come looking to get paid, they will see their name in the headlines, Belichick will be forced to replace these guys, Belichick can't have a team with too many superstars.
Who on the Pats would leave for a payday?

The younger stars (Seymour, Brady) have long term contracts already. Many of the veterans, by the time their contracts run out, will be labelled as '2nd tier' free agents at best and certainly wouldn't get giant pay days if they left. Some like Brown, McGinest, and T. Johnson are probably looking to retire as Pats at this point.

The only player which may need replacing in the short term is Woody if he opts for big money, but as you could see the offensive line still did a commendable job.

Give Brady any other defense and nobody would know his name. He'd be a ghost. Watch my grandmother throw a 2yard screen with blazing accuracy.

Did BB hire Cottrell? Has Brady spent the last 2 weeks saying "Guys! They're letting Cottrell go! Let's take him and their secondary! They can stay at my grandparents' retirement home!"

Brady had to work yesterday because he didn't get his usual Ty Law TD and 3 Brushci turnovers.

Give him a train wreck of a Defense like ours and he'll fade into anonymity faster than SARS.

It's amazing how much sh*t PatsFanTX has to say after the Patriots win, I have a good feeling he wouldn't even be here if they lost.

Brady had a hell of a game yesterday.
That being said when he got pressured he looked like any other QB in that situation. He was picked once in the red zone and should have been picked earlier in the game.Brady came on when the CATS D got tired.
Kudos to the PATS line.

I think Jake out played TB.Jake did more with less.

Can any fan from any team at this point in time, compare their QB to Tom Brady? All fans of all teams are in the same boat.

NO

I said this a month ago. The Patriots are going to become Football's version of The Yankees and Tom Brady is football's version of Derek Jeter.

17. #37
Oh no you di'int. Oh no you di'int.

This argument should be deader than the theory that Gregg Williams is a good head coach.

Brady is a better QB than Pennington.

I've been somewhat restrained on this for awhile but after an amazing, MVP-worthy performance by Brady to see some of you sticking your heads in the sand ticks me off.

FACT: Pennington is 1-10 in games where the opposing team scores 18 or more. That one win came against a sorry Raiders team that scored, what, 21? PENNINGTON HAS NEVER WON A GAME WHERE THE OPPONENT SCORED 29. Pennington has never won a shootout. Will he at some point? Sure, even Ben Wallace scores in double figures every now and then. But don't make he mistake of thinking Pennington has EVER done anything like what Brady did last night: he hasn't.

FACT: In games where the opponent scores 18 or more, Brady is now 8-12. *In games where the Pats defense does NOT play well, Brady win 40% of the time*. In games where the Jets defense does not play well, Pennington always loses. Brady has beat VERY good teams in shootouts (Titans, Colts, and Panthers this year alone). Pennington has NOT.

FACT: Is Tom Brady a result of coaching and the system? No more and no less than Joe Montana was in the 80s. If Joe Cool had been drafted by "Zona, would he have won four rings? NO. Would he have shined as a QB? Probably, hard to be certain. If Brady had been drafted by a different team with different coaching, what would have happened? We don't know. Would he have two rings? Almost certainly not. But any argument you make against Brady based on him having a great team around him can be made about 90% of "great QBs". Favre won his ONE ring in a year where the Packers had the #1 Defense and a great running game, as well as good coaching. Montana was surrounded by amazing talent. Peyton Manning plays on the most talented offensive team in the league. Jim Kelly and Fran Tarkenton didn't win rings depsite being surrounded by amazing collections of talent.

FACT: Brady is 6-0 in the playoffs including multiple clutch drives and a Super Bowl record for completions. Pennington is 1-1 with one blowout against a sorry Colts defense and one complete stinkbomb against Oakland.

FACT: Some of you guys (a minority thankfully) are just flat out wrong.

Pennington does not belong in the conversation right now. He's a good QB but he HASN'T accomplished remotely close to what Brady has.

It's unfair to PENNINGTON to try and compare him to Brady at this point. CP is a fine QB, but he simply has NOT yet shown several of the traits that make Tom a great QB.

18. #38
And all credit to fans like YJF who realize that whatever they think of Chad, right now it's just not a real debate.

and side thought..... if the Jets had more cap space maybe they'd make a run at Woody to play LG.

All complete BS.

Brady's accomplisments are TEAM achievements. Brady has won 2 Super Bowls, Marino, NONE, is Brady better than Marino?

The answer is NO, and the statement that Pennington doesn't belong in the same conversation as a Brady is also complete BULLSH*T, both are young QB's, both are very good QB's, Brady has just been fortunate enough to be a part of a team that has had success, where Pennington has not. Pennington hasn't even yet played a full season, but in the time Pennington has played, he has shown to be every bit the QB Brady has, and then some.

Pennington is easily right now, a franchise QB, and to put the icing on the cake, he is now one of the leaders of this team, achieving as much in just a short time, but has done so with respect to his teammates, an incredible amount of humility, and even greater amount of accountability, he possesses ALL the tools, ALL the intangibles, losing him for the first 6 games was HUGE, the Jets missed him a lot. With him, they probably maek the playoffs.

What do you mean, IF? They have plenty of room to sign Woody, but is that what they SHOULD be focusing their attention on in FA? They have other holes.
