This is not that great of news. Marino is a moron and would have run that disgrace of a franchise further into the ground that it already is.

YJF?? The Fins have had I think maybe 2 losing Seasons in
the last 25 years or so..Wanny as Bad as all the Jet Fans
think he is has never had a record worse than 9-7..That
being the case, how is Herm such a great Coach and Wanny
a idiot??Do you really think the Fins are going to be that Bad
next year and that's why Marino left??As Bad as Fiedler is
according to some here he has a Winning record as a starting
QB does he not??See I use what you like to say..Reason and
Logic!! Please do so and explain why the Fins will be Bad next
year and Herm's Hero's will be Good?? <_< Or were you just
rambling like a optimistic Fan looking through your Green Glasses??

Just a PR move anyway, Dolphins are no better/worse with or without him.

Marino's front office career has got to be one of the shortest in NFL history.

I swear I read a story somewhere that said woody had talked to Marino about coming here and Dan thinking about it because the Jets were the better team right now.I hope I read it here and someone was making a joke.

There was an article pasted here stating something to that effect. First of all, I can't figure out why a team would select an ex-player for front office management. A figure-head perhaps? OK, I still don't like the idea, but then why would a team make a star from it's rival a "senior vice somethingorother?" What could Marino's role possibly be here? Oh well, nevermind. Won't happen anyway...right?

The whole situation sounded funny to me. First they hire him as the FO man and then they say he started having second thoughts about his new position and all the while on the radio shows here in Fl., they were saying that it was all untrue that he was having second thoughts about his new role with the Dolphiins. Then the original report about it was really true. Why was there such a mix-up with this situation?

Savage:
Look at his roster though, he is loaded. You can knock Fiedler if you want but that is the guy he wanted. Seems like very guy on that team is a 1st round pick.

Parcells or Belichek would go 16 and 0 with that team.

and Herm would go 6-10, or maybe worse considering that BBQ isn't all that huge in Florida and he'd need time to adjust to the Carribean fare. Good news, though- if things start to get a little shaky with the menu, Herm promises to "simplify."

I never called Wanny an idiot on this site and I don't think that he is one.

How about that? I think that he's a good coach but there comes a time when you overstay your welcome. Like Jim Fassel, Wannstedt is getting close to that day if he doesn't make a serious run.

Herm's been with The Jets for 3 years and I have already gone on record about half a zillion times that if Herm and this regime don't have a good season in 2004, Then they should be gone.

Wanny has been with The Dolphins for a much longer time than Herm has and he hasn't taken the next step with his team. I can see why The Dolphins fans want him out.

I didn't say that The Dolphins would be bad next year. I think that they do have some serious issues though. Reports are coming out that they will let Fiedler and Griese go, Then they need to find a new QB. They have very little cap room and they have some contract issues with their players.

As long as The Dolphins have Ricky Williams and retain their key defensive players, They will be right in the thick of things again in The AFC. The question is and has been for the last 4 years, Can they take the next step?

Didn't he know prior to accepting the job that he wanted to spend more time with his family? BIZARRE and very embarrassing to the Dolfags.

Even Danny knows he can't save that team as long as Wannstadt remains.
