I'm talking about the "Herm's an awful coach" Bandwagon.

Although i'm not talkin about Kotite..
How can you say Herm is a bad Coach based on his first three years if you can't say Kotite is a good coach BASED on his first three years..

Where did i say anything about you not being able to have an opinion? You're bein' ridiculous now.
I didn't jump on that Band Wagon, I built the Wagon! Your
saying Herm's a good Coach based on his first 3 Seasons
Right?? So all I'm saying is based on Kotites first three Seasons
he was also a Good Coach!Whats hard about that?? Just agree
with me on that point and it's over!! ;)

Also nowhere did i say Kotite was a good coach.. just clarifying..
Herm's only been a coach for 3 years. And he's done good with the team.

If Kotite only coached for those first three years.. Hmm..
He'd be a good coach in my mind.
Happy?

as much as i want to join in with the hermbashing.... i have to agree with the enemy.

you cant coach talent. you are born with talent, its a gift.

soory savage!

BUT, a good coach CAN coach a mediocre player into a better player, no doubt and thats something herm sucks at hehehehehe

Classic example of how an agenda can turn a statement into an assumed implication....

"Coaches can't coach talent.""

Only Hermy can utter something this stupid.
This is on par to when Herm says after each loss, "We lost because we didn't make plays...We need somebody to step up and make a play."

The man is a godforsaken idiot.

I was having Fun TB!! But to me it was a silly statement! But
maybe when Woody said we have Talent on this Team thats
why Herm got upset!! He can't Coach Talent! I think it's a question
of Semantic's...Or what the definition of Is Is??

It's obviously a question of semantics Savage. I just think we're all (including PatsfanTx) capable of deciphering what he meant without too much analysis.

To call a man an idiot because he says Tomato while you say Toma'to is kinda nitpicky. However, I do understand that you were just poking fun. I'm used to it by now ;)

I'm sure what Herm meant to say was ... "You can't teach talent"

In that respect he is RIGHT ... talent is God Given ... either you have it or you don't
He was just giving props to Taylor expressing his thoughts that he had skills that no one can teach. I noticed that Herm gives credit to people when it's do and I think that's what he was trying to do here.

Yes, we're just picking on Herm, but the man IS just too fatalistic. When he says "You can't coach talent," he's obviously making a generalization about God-given ability, but it does reek of his attitude that things "happen" beyond his control, i.e his "somebody has to make a play" speech after his losses.

This, in an era where the less-talented team has won the SB the last, oh, four years.

dk- Are you getting soft in your old age?

I've agreed with 99% of everything you have posted.

But do you really mean to say that an athlete with God-given talent does not need coahing, especially in the NFL?

What exactly does this have to do with what Herm said?

Nothing.

"Coaches can't coach talent."

That is exactly what Hemy said.

Obviously, your fearless leader is clueless when it comes to coaching an NFL team.

Omg. you guys are out of control. It's obvious what the man was trying to say. Now we're going to be the word police. If the man isn't grammatically correct we are going to make issues. sheesh.

whoa ho there i didnt say that.........

I said that talent is something you were either born with or you arent. coaching can fine tune/strengthen it BUT if you dont have it from the get go, coaching cannot help you.

see if parcells can make a LB out of gary coleman

I never said that a talented athelethe needs no coaching.
