Bush-rumsefeld-rice-Cheney-Wolfiwitz

All these pro war idiots have a new argument for the unjustified removal of Saddam Hussein..
no wmd's
no qaeda links
now they say: well we still removed a brutal tyrant..true..
BUT
Saddam was brutal toward Shiite Muslims! Shiite Muslims are very radically islamic and don't want a church/state separation...Saddam was a socialist who kept islamic radicallism far away from gov't..so yes he was very brutal to the same people we deem as very dangerous!

Good job Bush you moron..you freed the wrong people.

I think Bush is a terrible president, too, but I can't agree that it's wrong to free ANY people.

I think he was just pointing out the irony of the situation. Essentially, Hussein and Bush were unspoken allies fighting the same people. Rather than work together against a common enemy we capture our ally.

i disagree - its wrong to free people that neither deserve nor can handle their own freedom.... and its doubly wrong to waste American lives and treasure to do so.

Saddam wasn't a fool - the Iraqi people for the most part respond to only two things - brute force and fear.

that's how he held power for 30 years - not through democratic election and committees... its just laughable that the administration and its supporters believe that democracy (basically the most delicate types of government there is) could not only survive but thrive in a backward ass third world s--thole like Iraq.

bottom line there is a whole world full of people who "aren't free" but we no one gives a s**t unless they are sitting on top of one of the world's largest oil reserves.

papa bush didn't enter Bagdad in 1991 for that very reason..we knew what we had in Saddam..the alternative was scarier..
Bush (singlehandedly) has made the world in General and(NY) in particular so MUCH more dangerous than it was before..Unbelievble..these idiots believed that Irqauis would be linig the streets with flowers for our troops!!
THEY HAVe to go..they didn't even win in 2000!

theres a billion muslims in the world..sorry fellas but the bully tactic don't work anymore..bush created thousands of more terrorists by his prehistoric foreign relations..and as someone who rides the subway everyday..that idiot made my life much more dangerous..
F-him..he's gotta go

I don't even think terrorism existed until Bush took office. Seriously. He CREATED terrorism. He should be bicycled right over to a Belgian prison that's heated by vegetable oil.

Jets5, with few exceptions listening to these guys blather on is comical. Just a frenzied sh-tstorm of baseless talking points, uncontrolled vein-popping vitriol, and a healthy dose of self-loathing/white man's guilt/America-hating nonsense.

And then there's the resident far-left edge sitter, openly celebrating the deaths of American servicemen and laughing his ass off at the sight of American citizens bodies burned and hung from a bridge.

I for one will be laughing my ass off but good when Bush wins again in November -- and thinking of these guys with every HA.

bman - you forgot SARS. Bush lied about SARS too.

He's a lying liar who tells lies. I hear he owns four SUVs and just leaves them running all day everyday and has an automatic aerosal-spraying machine that he forces his minions to spray non-stop around school zones.

What was your favorite Subject in School?? Revisionist History??
We had a UN Mandate to remove the Iraq army from Kuwait not
remove Saddam! If you remember we had many Arab countries
in the Colition and would have lost them not to mention France
and the UN support! And since when is every Muslim a Terrorist??
Isn't that stereotyping or (Let me be PC) Race/Religion profiling??
Back in the 50's and 60's when the Communists made their biggest
gains World wide Stalin called the American Liberals "Useful Idiots"!
And after Ted"The Bridgeman" Kennedy made his" We are in another
Viet Nam" speech he was parroted by that radical Iman the very next
Day! He must be so proud! Since you guys love to post the body count
every day, read some books on how many deaths happened after WW2
in both Japan and the left over Nazi's in Germany! According to Bit we
shouldn't have Liberated them either!! <_<

since when does the US care about UN mandates!
There was THREE country (INcluding US!) who removed Saddam..
UK, Spain, Usa..

IF the US WANTED to remove saddam 91 they would have..but Daddy Bush did think a saddam iraq was more stable than a non saddam Iraq..Hell it wa only a few years earlier than that that Saddma was our ally..AND WE gave him Irananian troop locations so he could gas them!

Stop flip flopping Kerry I was talking about 91 and you know it!!
Are you saying we did NOT have UN support in 91? <_<

17. #17
we had UN support and most of the world to remove iraq from kuwait in 91..(soleley to protect saudi oil i might add)..
That was a justified war.

2003 ..whole other story.

bman -

You are wrong about 1991. The UN would have never agreed to the 1991 war if Regime change and all that entails were part of the equation, and Saudi Arabia most certainly would not have been our ally if that were the case. It was the international community that wanted Saddam to remain in power and be sanctioned, etc. Bush, to his fault IMO, did not press for it. But Bush didn't just arrive at that conclusion independently in 1991. That's folly.

Honestly - how old are you and how old were you in 1991?

war 2?? Japan? Now a ally.. Germany?? Italy their Allies now!
Hell who did we fight in the Revolutionary war? England is a ally
also now I believe! Through History Countries have been a Ally
or a Enemy depending what benifited them at the Time! It's not
something that we invented!

Because he suffers with 5 mansions, two planes, a yacht, etc?
