Hmmm, I guess that puts Bailey on Eddington.

One of the "also eligibles." He didn't have enough earning to get in and had to wait for a scratch to make the post. Actually, I doubt if he does get in, because they already drew the post positions. So the question remains: where's Bailey?

Eddington is the next horse in race winnings to be elgible to run in the Derby-he moves up to 20 posiition-maximum allowed-I guess it is up to trainer and owner if they want to try to run him in the Derby at this late date.
Looks like Bailey made the wrong decision and will be without a mount.

Apparently, Eddington will NOT get in the starting gate. I figured as much since they'd have to change the #'s of all the horses from 6-20. Once they drew the post positions, the field was set. Bailey will be without a mount for the first time since '91, the 2nd longest active streak.

From the Derby site:

Dr. Ted Hill, acting state steward for the Kentucky Horse Racing Authority, said in light of the scratch of Wimbledon, who would have started from post five, the four horses inside of that position will move out one spot. The horses in stalls 6 through 20 will be unaffected.

Just got the Racing Form. Time to study!

Birdstone without a doubt. As guaranteed to win as the Jets are a losing season :D . Put 20 bucks down on it, what the heck.
Birdstone takes it by 5 lenghts.

Money in the bank-a sure bet that the Dolphins will wilt and collapse in December

3 horses = $12
4 horses = $48

Looking over The Form just now, two things jumped of the page and bit me. Pollard's Vision boasts the field's best off-track Tomlinson figure. T-storms are in the forecast. Smarty Jones won his last easily in the mud and gets first-time lasix.
