Some of the groups organizing protests at this summer's Republican National Convention in New York – including one anarchist outfit planning disruptions – get funding from a foundation chaired by Teresa Heinz Kerry, the wife of the presumed Democratic Party presidential nominee, reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.
Heinz Kerry, worth as much as $1 billion according to some estimates, has directed donations in the millions to the Tides Foundation, a 28-year-old grant-making institution that funds some of the principal groups organizing demonstrations and disruptions of the GOP convention.
The umbrella coalition organizing the protests is called United for Peace and Justice – strongly critical of the war in Iraq. The coalition was sponsored by Ramsey Clark's International Action Center, which was funded by the Tides Center's Iraq Peace Fund and Peace Studies Fund. Clark's group also sponsored International ANSWER. Both groups are run by long-time communist revolutionaries.
Teresa Heinz Kerry's favorite charity has also funded The Ruckus Society, an anarchist group known for disrupting the World Trade Organization meeting in Seattle in 1999 and planning similar disruptions for the New York convention. The group has been training protesters for the GOP convention in the art of sit-ins and blockades.
Mrs. Kerry, working through the Howard Heinz Endowment, oversaw the donation of more than $4 million to the Tides Foundation between 1995 and 2001.
Other groups in the United for Peace and Justice Coalition funded by Tides include the American Friends Service Committee, MADRE, the Institute for Policy Studies, the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Lawyers Guild.
Leslie Cagan, United for Peace and Justice national coordinator, a long-time communist revolutionary, also runs International ANSWER, dominated by the Communist Workers World Party. The Communist Party USA is also one of the affiliated groups under the United for Peace and Justice coalition.
There were reports last week that some of the groups headed for New York have more in mind than waving placards, marching and listening to speakers denounce President Bush.
According to the New York Daily News, fringe elements are hoping to spark major disruptions "with a series of sneaky tricks – including fooling bomb-sniffing dogs on trains bound for Penn Station."
"Internet-using anarchists are telling would-be troublemakers to decoy specially trained Labrador retrievers with gunpowder or ammonium nitrate-laced tablets in a bid to halt trains or even spur the evacuation of Madison Square Garden," the paper reported.
The Republican convention will be held at Madison Square Garden Aug. 30 through Sept. 2.
New York City police have expressed concern about the way some of these groups have used the Internet to disseminate plans for disruption. Among those messages cited:
    · "Go to a rifle, pistol or skeet shooting range, spend an hour shooting to saturate clothing with smell of gunpowder, go directly to a New Jersey Transit, LIRR or subway train headed for Penn Station.
    · "Try to have at least two people on a train in different locations, sit or stand near the doors as the train approaches the station, try to get near police and dogs, loiter as long as possible around the dog, try to pet it if possible.
    · "If the dog alerts on your scent, do not leave or resist; the situation will cause a major disruption of the train schedule. ... If there is more than one person on the train that causes a dog to alert, you can bet that the train will not be going anywhere for a long time ... neither will any trains behind it.
    · "It is important that the police call in all possible resources to investigate the situation. ... This will result in the maximum disruption. ... With any luck, Madison Square Garden will be evacuated.
    · "Rush hours are ideal, the final night of the convention, very good, too."

    More on the Ketchup slut.....

Following is a brief backround on Mrs. John Kerry .. She hates
being called that, by the way:

Maria Teresa Thiersten Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry. Married
Senator Kerry in 1995. She only took his name eighteen months ago and she is an "interesting" paradox of conflicts.

If you thought John Kerry was scary, he doesn't hold a candle
to his wife! Maria Teresa Thiersten Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry was born in Mozambique, the daughter of a Portuguese physician, was educated in Switzerland and South Africa. Fluent in five languages, she was working as a United Nations interpreter in Geneva in the mid-60's when she met a "handsome" young American, H. John Heinz, III, who worked at a bank in Geneva. He told her his family was "in the food business."

They were married in 1966 and returned to Pittsburgh where his
family ran the giant H. J. Heinz food company. He was elected to the US House of Representatives in 1971, and in 1976 he was elected to the
first of three terms in the United States Senate. A Republican, he wrote a burning diatribe against some of the causes backed by young House member John Kerry.

Several years later, in 1991, he was killed when his plane
collided with a Sun Oil Company helicopter over a Philadelphia suburb. The senator, his pilot and copilot, and both of Sun's helicopter pilots were killed. He was survived by his wife, Teresa, and their three young sons.

Four years later, having inherited Heinz's $500 million
fortune, she married Senator John Forbes Kerry, the liberal then-junior senator from Massachusetts. She became a registered Democrat and the process of her radicalization was set in motion.

Heinz Kerry is not shy about telling people that she required
Kerry to sign a prenuptial agreement before they were married. John Kerry may not have check writing privileges on the Heinz catsup and pickle fortune, but he is certainly a willing and uncomplaining beneficiary of it.

A lot of hard-earned money, made through many years of hawking
catsup, mustard, and pickles has fallen into the hands of two people
who despise successful entrepreneurship and who believe in the confiscatory redistribution of wealth.

So how does Mrs. Heinz Kerry spend John Heinz's money?

    Just one example:

According to the G2 Bulletin, an online intelligence newsletter
of WorldNetDaily, in the years between 1995-2001 she gave more than $4
million to an organization called the Tides Foundation. And what does the Tides Foundation do with John Heinz's money?

They support numerous antiwar groups, including Ramsey Clark's
International Action Center. Clark has offered to defend Saddam Hussein when he's tried.

They support the Democratic Justice Fund, a joint venture of
the Tides Foundation and billionaire hate-monger George Soros. The
Democratic Justice Fund seeks to ease restrictions on Muslim immigration from "terrorist" states.

They support the Council for American-Islamic Relations, whose
leaders are known to have close ties to the terrorist group, Hamas.

They support the National Lawyers Guild, organized as a
communist front during the Cold War era. One of their attorneys, Lynne Stewart, has been arrested for helping a client, Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, communicate with terror cells in Egypt. He is the convicted mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

They support the "Barrio Warriors," a radical Hispanic group
whose primary goal is to return all of Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas to Mexico.

These are but a few of the radical groups that benefit, through
the anonymity provided by the Tides Foundation, from the generosity of our would-be first lady, the wealthy widow of Republican senator John
Heinz, and now the wife of the Democratic senator who aspires to be the 44th President of the United States.

Aiding and supporting our enemies is not good for America,
    regardless of your political views.

If voters will open their eyes, educate themselves and see the
real Teresa Heinz Kerry, they will not appreciate her position as ultra rich fairy godmother of the radical left. They will not want to imagine her laying her head on a pillow each night inches away from the President of the United States.

Hopefully they love this country enough to decide that the only
way these two will ever be allowed into the White House is with an engraved invitation in hand.

Let everyone know these people are unfit to represent this
great nation. The uninformed will never hear the truth from the press, who wants Kerry elected!

Those who buy the Kerry facade, beware what you vote for - - -
you may regret that you got it!

My only hope is, that when the debates start, all of America will be watching. And the truth will out on this vile and twisted cabal.

Maybe the UN observers for this election won't be such a bad thing...

Think about it: Wouldn't they have to report all of the democratic "vote early and often" voters?

Theres got to be a way to get the word out about this Tides foundation and Heinz's support of them. I also understand that they support a womens group which gives money to support the wives of homicide bombers. The Bush campain wont go there but maybe one of those side groups designed to get around campaign finance reform (like a republican moveon.org type) could put out some commercials to get this information out there.

No one cares or the liberal media just turns a blind eye to this so nobody knows about it?

Obviously they can't print it or put a segment about Ms. Heinz philanthropic activities during the news as they are too busy advertising Abu Grhaib!

As far as the worst President of all time...still the reigning champ:

what is the legislative legacy of Bush's first term in office? the USA Patriot Act?

all of his bills pander DIRECTLY to big business - bills to open up logging, bills to repeal the clean air act, etc. etc.

honestly i want to know - 20 years from now what will people look at from George W. Bush first term?

And of course clean air is much more important than national security, right?

the USA Patriot Act is one of the most universally hated bills to come out of Washington in the last 25 years - everyone from librarians to blue haired old ladies hate it and the man who defends it (cheney)

like it or not (and im not saying it's a bad bill) if that's the best we can come up with for legacy then the performace of the President has been seriously lacking.

this is not entirely unexpected from a man who's head of PR (white House press secretary) called 9-11 the greatest moment of the President's term to date

    boy he's not kidding.

It would be interesting to get a list of every organization both the Kerry's and Bush's (and Edwards' and Cheney's) donate to each year, including the groups each candidate funds in less-than-open ways (and there are plenty of wats to do things "under-the-table" style if they wish).

I think we would find that money from both sides finds it's way into the hands of "Protest" groups fighting the other side. Such on-the-side funding has been common for years, from both parties.
