I read that about Lindros saying he wants to play with Stanley Cup contender-(I'll say it for you that obviously why he will not be on the Rangers.)
I can see a team like Dallas that has shown the willingness to pay for older veterans taking a shot-for his own good he should get out-if he can not play nasty and tough-he is useless.

Yeah, someone picks him up. Maybe a Montreal or Toronto.

At least so far Sather and Rangers have held their line and not tried to sign any of free agents out there-look at Pittsburgh -in terrible financial shape and they sign Recchi from Philly-36 year old guy?

They think that the fans will come back as if it were the 92-93 season with recchi and mario. Not a chance.

Yeah, Recchi is NO Jagr. They can have him. Pittsburgh is in lots of trouble. They are really strapped. Mario will need to play well into his 60s in order for fans to visit the Igloo (is it still called the Igloo??) The Pens are unwatchable, otherwise.

You know it is hard to have sympathy for these owners crying poverty when they pay something like $9 million over 3 years for a 36 year old player like Recchi-in hockey dog years that means he has about 20 years of mileage on him.
