Thread: Will the liberal media have the balls...

to cover this event properly or bury it in the back pages of their rags? How nice to see the media give all this attention to Kerry's "army of 12"...you know who I mean. The same group of Nam vets that parade around with Kerry and now at the convention.

Well people, there will be thousands of Nam vets against Kerry on September 12, 2004 in DC...will they get front page coverage? I'm willing to say "no" because this is the same media that buried Nam vets in the 60's so why change now.

To the majority of you that don't have a clue about facts and myths on Vietnam and the men that fought it, I suggest you visit this site also and get a better handle on the facts.

It just goes to show you the depth of shamelessness that John Kerry can sink to. Putting on that dog and pony show with his 8MM movie of his "re-enacted heroism" in Viet Nam, and then saluting and saying "reporting for duty", knowing how hundreds of thousands of Viet Nam vets hate his guts.

But see, like everything else with him, it's a calculated move. Your total numbers as a voting bloc can't really hurt him, and he knows it. And most people, when the pull the lever for this jerk, they don't care about your feelings, all they care about is the entitlement they think that they are gonna get once a democrat gets back in office.

I'll tell you, when I pull that lever for Bush, I'll have alot of things on my mind, and you Viet Nam vets will be among them.

Let me ask you something, guys...

How many Nam vets do you know, that recieved three purple hearts, are skiing down mountains in Idaho at Kerry's age?

Sht, I only knew one. And he died 5 years ago from complications due to his war related injuries.

So they hate Kerry's guts because he did two tours in Vietnam on a Swift Boatd drawing fire and then came back home to tell everyone of the murders and rapes he saw over there?

Those types of things never happened in Vietnam....right???

Get a life and get you facts straight.

Yep. Instead of listening to the guys who actually served with Kerry, we're supposed to listen to publicity-seekers who didn't.

    I think I'll pass, thanks.

Two tours in Nam...where do some of you guys get your info from...how does 4 months sound?

I think you're the one who should get his facts straight...another thing, atrocities happen in all wars...not saying they are right, but they happen and Kerry made it sound like it was the norm in Nam and it wasn't.

Bob the Jets fan...anytime, anyplace, you want to discuss Vietnam and the men who served, give me a holler...101st A/B Ranger 68/69...drafted out of Westchester County from an upper middle class family.

Kerry is an a**hole as most Vietnam vets will tell you...what you see in Kerry is not the Kerry that we (Nam vets) know. But there is nothing I can say to change your mind...so, if you think you're getting the real deal in Kerry, by all means vote for the SOB!

I'm not saying the atrocities happened all the time but I have relatives who were in Vietnam from Australia and New Zealand and they have told me that stuff happened. Not by choice, but because they were ordered to do so. Kill or be killed.

I'm glad Kerry told the truth and was man enough to renounce a war he didn't believe in after he witnessed those atrocities. This is the same man who volunteered for the war to help his Country.

I'm glad you're so proud of Kerry for "telling the truth." The convenient thing for Kerry is that he never followed up those severe allegations with any SPECIFIC instances where any of this occurred. If things were going on and he felt strongly enough about them to mention, I can only assume he did so with a goal of stopping said atrocities. Yet, when pressed, and even to this day, Kerry refuses to name a single name, instance or specific circumstance where ANYTHING that he said happened actually did. No, he chose the easy way out - make a big stink and gain publicity.

Funny thing though, my father was a Lt. Commander who was in country at the time, and who served with many men who served with Kerry. My father didn't get to leave Vietnam after 3.5 months and some bacitracin applied to superficial wounds. No, he had to stay two years. And guess what? My father was still in country facing hostile fire when Kerry took his band-aids off, threw his medals, and started calling my father a rapist, child-killing monster in public, emboldening the enemy. We now have cables from the communists from that era who specifically mention the "useful idiots" back home who emboldened them and made the political cost of the Vietnam War very high for US leadership, and this actually factored in to their strategy, especially regarding Tet, for example.

Yeah, Kerry is a great guy. The overwhelming majority of guys like my father and the 7 people my father is still close with to this very day who served with Kerry all think he is a rat bastard and do not support him at all.

Closing tax-loopholes? Ask Teresa how much she pays in taxes. Ask John Edwards about his S-corporation, in which he made himself the sole owner, and declared that $29 million of his income was merely a "corporate dividend" that is shielded from high marginal rates. The guy paid himself a salary of $350,000 per year, which shielded an overwhelming amount of his income from taxes. That's the thing about "loopholes." Really rich people can afford tax attorneys who can find ways around tax laws, and find new loopholes. However, people referred to as "rich" but really aren't, like a couple making $125,000, cannot afford the same high priced tax advice.

Healthcare for all sounds great. It's all free right? Can I wait 17 weeks to be seen by a general doctor, who refers me to a specialist, and then I wait another 17 weeks. Then, after a procedure is determied to be needed, how bout I wait another 20 weeks until it occurs? What if I want to go outside of the "universal" plan, and see a private doctor, can I do that?

Scare resources that have alternative uses (like healthcare) will always have to be rationed, regardless of price. Services have costs - there is no platitude that gets around that central fact.

He didn't tell the truth, Gainzo. That's the point.

He made all that stuff up. It was all propaganda prepared for him by a communist anti-war group in America.

    This is documented fact.

Isn't it ironic how any claim made against a liberal has an ulterior motive, regardless of the character of the person or the seriousness of the evidence produced?

Forget Jennifer Flowers and her audio tapes of clinton, all you need is a liberal woman to claim a conservative Supreme Court nominee made "a pubic hair on a coke" joke.

How about richard clarke and joe wilson, proven liars by multiple international commissions. No, thats way more serious than a guy that pays blackmail to north korea or allows the sale of high tech equipment to the red chinese for a few campaign donations.

In his own words, this JOhn KERry admitted to committing war crimes and then implicated his fellow soldiers with no proof. Now he backtracks and we're all supposed to believe he's got what it takes to lead our military -- our first line of defense against terrorists.
