A little late, but oh so true. Really nails the Red Sox Fan mentality...

    That column was awesome

I have so much respect for that guy, even if he is a Red Sox fan

For one thing, he's a brilliant writer ... his writing skills are just off the charts

Secondly, he's so sincerely and unabashedly passionate about his team ... his passion is something any dirhard fan can relate to, regardless of team

Third, he has a tremendous dry wit ... laced with irony ... and brilliantly melds that into his passion

Lastly, if you're a fan of any team that has ever broken your heart, you cannot read his columns and NOT shake your head in agreement ... YEP, HE'S RIGHT!! ... and you cannot fail to empathize with his plight

In conclusion, what this man writes about {brilliantly and funny} is the passion and the pain most fans derive from sports ... and that message is universal

I saw this column a few days ago and meant to post it. For some reason I felt yankee fans would just ridicule it (even though they are Jets fans and don't realise just how similar to being a Red Sox fan that is).

Bill Simmons is a great read regardless of his loyalties.
