It was SOOOOOOOOOOO important that the Yankees wrap-up the ALDS in 4

    THAT WAS HUGE!!!!!!!!!& #33;!!!!!!!!!

Now we can start the moose in Game 1 and don't be shocked if EL Duque is ready for Game 2

Torre said Duque was feeling well enough to be used out of the pen today if necessary ... now he gets another 3 or 4 days to rest up for a Game 2 start

Remember, there was no injury here ... just a tired arm ... this rest may be just what the doctor ordered

I cannot emphasize enough how vital it was for the Yankees to win Game 4

    RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBEN!!&# 33;!!!!!!!!!&# 33;!!!!!!!!!&# 33;!!!!!!!

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!&#33 ;!!!!!!!!!&#33 ;

This is our year. We have the pitching, we have the closer, we have the defense, we have the chemistry. We are a better team. This is our year.

    Why not us?

I cant wait till Tuesday, I just hope my heart can take it

    Wait,,,,they get better!!!

Anyways, this is the year. No doubt about this one. We are going to beat the MFY this year. We are going to jet out of the Bronx with a 2-0 lead in this series, and it will end in 5 at Fenway, I think. This is our year, and we are going to prove it. Let's leave this all on the field boys. Let's bring that title back to Boston for the first time in decades. I believe

    Beating them NEVER GETS OLD!!

    This one TRUMPS THEM ALL!!

For too long the Red Sox have been on the wrong end of this matchup. For too long the Red Sox have ended the season watching the Yankees advance. For too long we've had to endure another World Series with the Yankees involved.

    That ends now.

The Red Sox are the better team. We all know that, but most importantly, the guys we root for know that. You can see it in their eyes, you can hear it in their words. You can see it when Varitek stares down that little *****, tells him that our guys don't throw at .260 hitters, and then slaps him silly. You can see it when they face down one of the best, if not the best, closers in the game, and don't ever, ever blink. You can see it when they win the season series against these guys. You could feel it from the first meeting in April, to the last regular season meeting. This year is special. This year is different

The Yankees have AGAIN set these Sawx fans up like bowling pins to be knocked down, they hopes dashed, their hopeless empty lives in ruins .

COME TO THE DARK SIDE....THE EMPIRE NEVER DISAPPOINTS. We STOLE A-ROD FROM UNDER YOUR GRASPY LITTLE THEO JUNIOR GM PAWS, AND HE WON TONIGHT'S GAME.

COME TO THE DARK SIDE. EMBRACE DESTINY.

Or in the words of Andrew "Dice" Clay, look what we're gonna do to you -AGAIN! TIME FOR A BEATING!

To be honest, no I did not. I'd rather we play the Twins as they clearly looked the weaker team. That said, my mouth is watering at the prospect of another yanks V Red Sox ALCS. How can you not be excited about this matchup? Boston brings its toughest lineup and team up against the yanks. They truly will not get a better chance to beat the yanks. Will they? We'll see. October and the yanks go hand in hand. But Boston is playing the better baseball right now.

I've said it all year and I'll say it again. Francona scares the hell out of me. Torre is class and gets the most out of every player and every situation. Tito has to be sharp for Boston and he has to trust in his players.

Biggest game of this series will be Game 2. Pedro will take the mound to either have Boston take a 2-0 lead or to stop the bleeding if Schilling can't get it done on Tuesday. So once again, lil Petey will have the biggest spotlight on him. I also see El Duque playing in this game and how big will that matchup be?

Maxie, Maxie - In Eastern Mass, the "Hasslebecks" are football royalty. From former Pat TE (Pops), to starter Matt, to little back-up Timmy.

That said, please explain where I said that this game would have anywhere near the intensity of Sox/Yanks ALCS? It would have been a little closer had the Seahawks not pissed away a comfortable lead yesterday - a battle of unbeatens would have been a heck of a lot more fun - but please, could anything beat a Sox/Yanks ALCS? Anything? Nope.

Still, as a Boston fan, this weekend is going to be over the top!
