‘’We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they’re a nuisance,'’ Kerry said. ‘’As a former law-enforcement person, I know we’re never going to end prostitution. We’re never going to end illegal gambling. But we’re going to reduce it, organized crime, to a level where it isn’t on the rise. It isn’t threatening people’s lives every day, and fundamentally, it’s something that you continue to fight, but it’s not threatening the fabric of your life.'’

This guy is actually looking to get back to the Clintonian philosophy of criminalizing terrorism. Treating terorrism like a crime is so incredibly naieve that only a super lib would even suggest it.

What I've noticed about Kerry is that when he's being fed lines by his handlers he can allmost come off as a moderate. When he's sitting in a one on one situation with a reporter sometimes the real Kerry comes out. The Naieve liberal Kerry. He really seems to believe that most people want to go back to the head in the sand era where we ignored threats to America and the world.

When the Gambino family or the mac daddy pimps decide to crash planes into buildings to protest what they perceive as the inequities and evils of our capitalist system, Kerry may seem prescient. Til then, just another example how totally friggin' clueless the effete gigilo snob from Swiss finishing schools via New England is.

Kerry Says Do-Not-Terrorize List Would End Nuisance

(2004-10-11) -- Democrat presidential candidate John Forbes Kerry today announced the details of his plan to completely eliminate the nuisance of terrorism.

"I have a plan," said Mr. Kerry, "to create a do-not-terrorize list that Americans could sign up for on the internet. And if any terrorist would flout the law and attack someone whose name is on the list, he and his terror cell would be slammed with a $1,000 fine for each person killed and $500 for each injured survivor."

Mr. Kerry, who is also a U.S. senator, announced the plan after receiving international acclaim for telling The New York Times, "We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance.''

The Democrat said his plan "hits Al Qaeda in the pocketbook where it hurts the most."

He said he's also considering a suggestion by running-mate John Edwards to double the fines for nuisance terror strikes during
