Thread: Need some good wishes.

    Two weeks ago my father had his right foot amputated due to complications from diabetes. Since the operation he's had one complication after another, and today he's not doing well at all.

    My Dad is 71 years old w/ diabetes and a heart condition. While we remain hopeful that he'll recover this has been much more difficult for him than we anticipated.

    Anyway, I'm not sure why I'm sharing this w/ the group but any good wishes would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks, I really appreciate the kind words.

    Like I said I'm not sure why I deciced to share this w/ the group but it is nice to here encouraging words from people you consider friends.

    Valley, you and others may have contrasting political views, but here at JI.com we are all family. We shall keep your father in our prayers. My father in law has diabetes and they have already amputated two of his toes. His legs are all scabbed up and he says he feels tingles in his legs. I wish there was a way to increase blood flow to the legs...

    My friends father lived for about 7 years after having his toes amputated due to severe diabietes. Stay strong and make sure to spend as much time with him as you can.
