Has anyone else considered turning of the volume of this Fox broadcast?

Excuse me, you have it wrong, he gets on his knees for the Yankees. Sox fans can't stand the guy.

    Some McCarver gems from yesteryear....

"Jeter is just so gritty.... the way he hit into that double play..... clutch."

    "Jeter's semen cures cancer"

"Jeter is the best fielder in the history of the game, and if he wanted to pitch he'd be better than every pitcher in the history of the game--- except Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte, and Roger Clemens"

Scooter the Cartoon Curveball is back! HOORAY! Love to catch McCarver in the women's hair color section of the local CVS rummaging for "porn star red". That color isn't in the spectrum.

McCarver is not so much a Boston knob-shiner as he is a Yankees hater. He'll spend the whole World Series blowing the Yanks' opponent, too.

And, as for Buck, how does this guy have a job? I mean, his dad was a legend and all, but shouldn't little Bucky be on local TV somewhere in the midwest?

Anyone notice that every close pitch by Red Sox pitcher that's called a ball should have been called a strike according to McCarver

Yet according to McCarver the Yankees have not had one close pitch go against them in this series .... cause he hasn't said a peep the other way

Don't you just hate when those intangibles bite your team in the ass?

Nomar is better. He couldn't propel the Cubs to the playoffs.

Nomar is better. The Sox played .700 ball without him.

Nomar is better. Better then your credibility but that is about it.

    They haven't.

    Those replays are damming.

Both sides have benefitted from crappy calls, 2nd or 3rd strike on A-Rod last night in the 8th, but compared to Mariano's 'strike' in the 9th, Foulke's pitch was done the middle.

Last nights ump, Jeff Nelson I believe, had one of those "widebody" strike zones. At least he was consistent for both teams.

Agreed ... he had a wide strikezone but he was consistant with it from start to finish and he was giving it to both sides ... not ridiculously wide, but he was giving both pitchers the corners ... I have no problem with that

My least favorite umps are the ones who have one strikezone in innings 1-7 and a different size zone in innings 8 & 9 ... or the umps who have one strikezone for a star pitcher and another strikezone for everyone else ... or even worse, the one who has a wide strikezone for the home team and a postage stamp for the visitors

I thought the guy last nite did an exceptional job ... he had the same strikezone for both sides ... wide, but the same ... and he had the same zone from 1-9
