Thread: Hate to say it...That was Giambi's at-bat

You have to say that the Giambi signing is the biggest bust of all time in NY sports history. Clark has been an automatic out all series, and Giambi is still cashing checks. God bless the juice.

Giambi had a benign tumor caused by his huge wallet rubbing against his steroid-swollen ass. Looks like he's got the best eat in the house for this debacle. They're actually PAYING GIAMBI AND HIS SHRUKEN TESTES TO WATCH THIS SH!T. What a country!

Yankees win tomorrow. Olerud can't go. Giambi makes the World Series roster. He plays in the AL park only 2 games 4 for 7 with a home run and 2 walks.

You heard it here first.

Is Bubba ****ing Crosby on this roster????

That would be an even bigger waste of a roster spot. It's obvious Torre won't even use Lofton to pinch run so what would Bubba's purpose be?

Why didn't Torre pinch run Lofton for Sierra when the count went to 3-2???? If Clark hits a double no way Lofton scores from first easily.

Because Sierra doesnt need to be pinch runned for. THe guy has very good speed. How many times have you seen him beat out double plays? He can run.

All have won the same amount of rings in NY as:
Moose and Giambi and Chop Suey

You have the Mets Hall of Shame signings right there.

Good job.

Yanks have a few similar skeletons, such as Ed Whitson. But your group is truly 1 of a kind!!

I'm not sure about Giambi. Torre mentioned that he is still dizzy after his workouts. I doubt he gets on the roster.

The only legit question is why didn't Torre pinch hit with Lofton for Clark? And the reason is because Torre probably gambled that a tired Foulke would miss with one over the plate and Clark would lose it, and end the Series.

Didn't happen. Try again tonight. For all the marbles.

Foulke laid an 89mph fastball over the MIDDLE of the plate on the 1st pitch.

Clark took it.

Game over.

Giambi does look pissed off sitting on the bench.

But if Olerud can't go, they really don't have any other choice but to bring back Jason. It is not like he would do much worse than Clark who strikes out a ton.

Hey I am all for Mattingly getting a ring. But he wasn't on the roster in time. So if Olerud is out, the ONLY option to replace him is Jason. It is that simple.
