Thread: How can I possibly be able to work today!!

  1. #1
Here I am sitting in my office, and I am useless to society right now. I should have called in. No way I can work today, too much anticipation. Thats why I am so glad the Super Bowl is on Sunday, so when the Pats go, and I am crazy pacing around I dont have work to distaact me.

Going to be a long day, how are all you other red sox and yankee fans coping with today?

  2. #2
Man I feel ya this sucks....I am doing nothing today at work. I'm a Yankee fan and I'm so anxious for this game to start.

My company is getting the bare minimum effort from me today. And most likely tomorrow too because win or lose I'll be hitting the sauce tonight haha

    Ditto here.

No matter what happens...WHAT A SERIES. We have all gotten our money's worth! Yea, I know..it was FREE LOL!

    3 GIVENS IN LIFE:

    DEATH

    TAXES

    and the SOX CHOKING

    ==========

If the Sox win...maybe I'll be immortal and not have to pay taxes again...hmmm...hmmm...

WOW. That is good news I guess.

Hey Jone I am not a big gambler. But tell me if I have this correct.

You put $100 on the Red Sox and you win $150 if the Sox win.

You put $160 on the Yankees and you win $100 if the Yankees win.

    Am I right?

Let me tell you a little something about Game 7's in the ALCS, Yankees Vs Red Sox

Yeah, the World Series is nice ... but when you get a Game 7 between these two teams, it'll wire you up!!

That's a very interesting line. It seems that Vegas does not believe too much in momentum.

I think this series alone has basically overshadowed the world series. This is probably the first time in a long time that the Championship series is a bigger deal than the world series. On the flip side, you'd swear the National League never existed because the amount of coverage the Astros/Cards series is getting is basically zilch compared to Bosox/Yanks. It's been a great series too.

You're right about that. Hey, game 5 in the NL featured one of the best combined pitching efforts in postseason history. Both pitchers had 1 hitters heading into the 9th. (The cards actually used Izzy in the 8th) A classic game.

yeah your right. I guess im a little peeved because it would make things a helluva lot more interesting if they schedule CS games every other day. Say ALCS monday, NLCS tuesday, etc. I don't know if it was that way and the Rain out affected the schedule, but it just sucks when they are both on at the same time because I want to watch the Cards series, but there is no way in hell I'm turning off the Sox/Yanks.

I can defeinitely wait for the game. I'm enjoying this mass hysteria and panic from the Yankees fans. God knows how they will react if they actually lose tonight? (nope, I can't see that happening either...) I have never in my life seen such over-reactive babies in my life. What a bunch of spoiled little gnats.
