Thread: How Would YOU Feel in Kerry Wins?

1. #1
Just a very simple question (btw, not based on the oputcome I expect or the candidiate I support, just for the record).

How would you feel if Kerry Wins this election? Where do you see the United States going and doing over his 4 years in office? How would it effect YOU?

I would breath a sigh of relief knowing we won't be starting any more wars for special interest groups, we won't have anymore tax cuts on the wealthy, the budget will be in better shape, the supreme court won't be packed with right-wing fanatics, ........ I could go on forever.

After I took my head out of the toilet, wiped the puke from my chin, and turned off the TV showing every terrorist group jumping for celebratory joy, I'd realize we were in serious trouble. We'd start using the military MORE as we did during the Clinton years considering the military the world's police force. We really WOULD be taking our eyes off the ball which is fighting terrorism where it hides. We'd see more military budget cuts as we just elected someone who hates the military which would cause military morale to plummet and to be less equipped. We'd see the end of the Patriot Act which would let terrorists to much more easily work their hatred within our borders. In a nutshell, how this would effect ME... I'd be MUCH less safe.
Our taxes would go up. ALL of our taxes would go up. The budget would be in better shape, but that's only because Kerry would be taxing us more and making obscene military budget cuts.
We'd watch a president sit in wonder and saying to himself, "Sh*t... I won... now what? I really should have actually HAD a plan for this country. Why did I lie?"
Then I'd probably puke again. This country can't AFFORD to have Kerry in office. And I could go on and on and on...

I will take it in stride. This is worse 2 people in the country to run for president. I will vote for Bush, if Kerry wins, life goes on.

Oh and I will buy a couple of guns with my Xmas bonus first and foremost.

I'd be upset, but I'd move on. It's more fun to attack a President than to defend one anyway, so I'd enjoy being able to lay into Kerry's inevitable failures.

I'll put it in football terms. I would feel the way Eagle fans must have felt last year when they lost to Carolina in the NFC Championship.

The reason I didn't reference the way Carolina fans felt when they lost the SB because those fans were probablly just happy to have been there.

That said after the shock and dissapiontment I would take away two positives.
1) At least the Republican controlled Senate should be enough to keep Kerry from turning this into a Socialist country.
2) I would feel comfort in knowing that Kerry is just keeping the seat warm for Guiliani in 2008. I'm confident that Guiliani will be able to come in and fix most of the things that Kerry might screw up.

I would feel nervous because I wouldn't know what he's gonna do. He keeps saying he has a plan, I just don't know what the heck it is.

Guiliani wouldn't win an election. I'd be as nervous about his winning as I would be about Kerry... ok maybe not THAT nervous, but still.

I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. I trust him less than I trust Kerry. Kerry's too stupid to be as slick as Guiliani. My hatred of Guiliani goes as far back as when he was a prosecutor and headhunted at Drexel. he's just a bad guy IMHO.

The possibility of Kerry winning is not something I take lightly...his endorsements are on the steady rise, I read this morning that the Iraqi Insurgents/terrorist murderers are doing their best to get him elected.

Shouldn't that be enough to help any sane American make the correct choice.

My grandfather was a VP at Drexel. Guiliani screwed them over. That said if you were a NEw Yorker during his terms as MAyor you say a REAL difference for the better on the streets. The guy really cleaned things up. The people who disliked him the most were mainly criminals and druggies and their sympathzers.

OK well I'm not a criminal, druggie, or their sympathizer. he cleaned up the streets, but sunk the deficit into the highest this city has ever seen. Even Bloomberg's shaking his head at him and the mess he left him.
As far as Drexel goes... then you must know that he searched and searched until he found SOMETHING to prosecute them for. Michael Miliken had NOTHING to do with why Guiliani originally looked at the company. He just wanted the spotlight. I just have no respect for him.

I agree as far as Drexel was concerned. My grandfather tells me it was a witch hunt.
