Over his last 4 games he is averaging 21 points and 13.25 boards. He has been playing phenomenal ball since Ramadan ended (which he fasted for 30 days).

So, is this the real Nazr that Isiah envisioned and that Kareem Adbul-Jabbar worked exclusively with after the Knicks acquired him?

Its hard to imagine he will keep this pace the entire season. With that said I dont want them trading for Curry or just about any other center right now.

Top East Centers: Shaq, Wallace, Nazr???

    Nazr is rocking right now.

Most Improved Player in the NBA? You have to throw his name out there

Steph is the perfect point to get him the ball where he can do the most damage with it. Down low, within 6-8 feet of the hoop, near the paint.

The game tonight is going to show me a lot about Nazr. He is up against a much improved Stromile Swift (and 2 quality backups) after eating up minutes in last night's win.

Well, if you judge him on last night's game, he did not perform well. He was tired, and I think that explains why he did not play much. His stats were only fair considering his previous several games. He did start out strong, with 4 boards the first 5-6 minutes, but he was exhausted.

The bench came through, especially Sweetney (early) and Junk Yard Dog - aka - Jerome Williams (late). Nice win.

    Hope they keep this up.

10 points and 5 boards in limited minutes is pretty decent. The game was in control for most of the second half, so mmost of the starters were able to get some serious and much needed time off.

If he does not wear down, he's going to be a rich man after this season, when his contract expires.

He's gonna have to wait, since it runs through next year also

    Sorry.

You are correct. I thought he was one finished after this season. But he's with Tim Thomas and Penny, with an expiring contract after 2006.

Not with Shaq and Scott Pollard in the conference.

another solid effort by Nazr tonight. he's really becoming a defensive presence out there...there was a sequence late in the 4th where he blocked 2 consecutive shots...think he had 8 total for the game.

Still a bit to inconsistent for me. After a solid game on Tuesday, including 8 blocks and 9 boards, he played 46 minutes against Detroit, and was basically invisible. Yes, his man, Ben Wallace did not score much, but he never scores much.

    Nazr struggled last night.
