dont be so harsh, as the guy before you stated, it was sarcasim i used. i am a mets fan and are well aware of both of the mets and yankees positions. I don't think that there is any doubt that the Red Sox will win the division, so that puts the yankees in a wild card race with the orioles, twins, rangers, and indians. I dont think that they will win, they dont have the pitching.
The mets, on the other hand, are out of the wild card and divisional races, as of now. The mets though have 9 more straight games at home, and though pay teams like the rockies, astros, and dodgers. Washington is going to fall fast, so the mets only competition is the braves, who they are in a prime position to win a 4 game series against.
all in all, i think both teams have an equal shot at the wild card
