I'm not getting my hopes up until there's any confirmation... b/c this seems like a too good a deal on paper.

did you actually hear this first hand or are you repeating someone else's report?

it seems like their are a lot of false rumors flying around re Soriano.

id love it to be true, but i wouldn't hold my breath.

Trade talks really heated up last night...

Milledge was the Mets 1st round pick in 03 and gives them a leadoff guy of the future they so desperately needed and Cameron gives them a legit CF..Good trade for both teams but the Mets get a stud...Texas didnt want to fork over the money Soriano will get in arbitration as they need to spend in the Pitching department...

Texas gets 1 average player and 1 for the future but the Mets get and ALL-STAR

Now lets just hope this is true!!

I just want to know if this is true!! I have mixed feelings about trading Milledge, but the way Cameron has hit in the # 2 hole (.200 BA in June and July), he needs to go.

Now...which do you like better for the new lineup???

    Reyes
    Soriano
    Beltran
    Floyd
    Wright
    Piazza
    Dougie M
    RF (Diaz, Marlon Anderson, Woodward)

    or..........

    Reyes
    Beltran
    Wright
    Floyd
    Soriano
    Piazza
    Dougie M
    RF

Considering that Wright is already a better hitter than Beltran (anyone want to argue this point with me??), i'll go with the latter. Wright has earned the 3 hole in the lineup.

    I like:

    1. Reyes
    2. Beltran
    3. Soriano
    4. Floyd
    5. Wright
    6. Piazza
    7. Doug M.
    8. RF

I highly doubt this trade is going to happen though....but i guess we can dream...

I actually like the 2nd lineup a lot better Jets--- Soriano doesn't get on base enough to merit batting in the 2nd hole...IMO....I'd love to see wright batting in the 3rd slot especially bc he really seems to be coming into his own over the past month.

But, time will tell, and Soriano will probably end up in baltimore..haha

I wanted to see Millege in the Majors real bad playing for the Mets but it does seem like it benifits both teams. Hopefully Diaz can play well the second half of the season... But what do we do with Kaz Masui... thats what I'm wondering...

as a yankee fan seeing soriano, this is a great trade for mets even tho i hate the mets. But if they do get him you gotta put him in the clean-up spot. Have him bat behind beltran and infront of floyd.

Neither...The Mets arent done yet..They will add a big name 1st baseman by the deadline...Dont be suprised if Sean Casey or A. Dunn arent playing 1st base in a couple days..
