Looks like it isn't going to happen, which is a good thing for Met fans. You don't want Manny, at his age and his contract. Seriously, he's going to be nothing worht the $20 million a year he's making for hte last 2 or 3 years of that contract. Also, in the NL, you don't have the luxury of DHing him, which is where he should be.
The Mets need to stop giving away their future to fund their present. Ramirez won't help them win the division. He's a huge defensive liability. Losing Cameron from the outfield and inserting Ramirez is a big downgrade in fielding. You cannot win the NL East with bad defense.
