    This COMPLETELY is Willie's fault. Anyone even remotely interested in baseball could see that Looper's only pitch was a straight fastball. He should've been sacked after that debacle on Opening Day, BUT NO! Willie even stayed with Mientkiewicz and Matsui until injuries forced his hand. Your 1B CANNOT hit .200!!! They could've made a nice deal for The Strikeout King, Cameron before he hit the wall and then Beltran. He also waited too long to send Zambrano to the pen. You have to have a lefty in the pen, no? I've always liked Willie, even as a Yankee hater, but he's done an absolutely horrendous job.

    he also waited too long to move piazza down in the lineup and move wright up. the personnel moves are probably more minayas fault though. like i said, hopefully they offer billy wagner more than philly can afford.

    I don't know about that. Just because you're paying them dosen't mean they have to play. Minaya absolutely gets blame for not having a hitter at 1B, or a closer in the BP. Even should've dumped Cameron before the season and gotten a plausible lefty for the pen. I'll give him a pass for Beltran because Shea will do that to good hitters. No, there were glaring adjustments that Willie had to make. I'm sure any manager has authority to make out his lineup. You pointed out even a couple further moves that anyone could see. Willie chose to ignore these and stayed loyal to "the guys who fought in the trenches." He's just too nice. It's like Art Howe never left. Where are you, Bobby V? Willie dosen't share much blame here.

    Sooner the better. I can't stand thumbing through 8 pages of baseball articles in all the papers everyday. Boring

    nice job by pooper the jackass blowing 2 saves in the SAME game

    yeh the only thing good i can say willie kinda did

    was clean up our errors a lil bit i guess

    and the running game really took off which is good

    but reallly our players ****in suck man

    its a joke

    beltran = well over payed
    cameron = ?
    piazza = too much pizza
    glavine = cannot pitch in met uniform

    left we have wright who is good but who wouldve knowwn

    reyes is coming up! needs lots of teaching and could be steller.

    but we need a lot more to win

    etc.

    all our bullpen is a joke

    and we always have to go to it way to soon in the games
    so therefore, mets will never win or get to playoffs etc.

    I feel bad for the Met fans that actually believed this team was actually in the race.
