60 Minutes on Katrina
I havent watched 60 in ages, nor have I followed the Katrina coverage this past week. It came on after the US Open so I left it on.
First, the up close footage, most that hadnt been seen on other networks, was devastating.
They interviewed Compas and other police, and he tried to sidestep the whole busses thing. He wasnt blaming anyone in particular, but just described the horrible circumstances he had to deal with.
But what through loud and clear was the total disdain and contempt these officers have for ANY cop who abandoned them, and havent been heard from because they left town. Really powerful stuff.
