McGraw on the shelf
October 13th, 2003
The Jets secondary which is already beat up, got more bad news today after finding out they will lose starting FS Jon McGraw for at least 2-4 weeks with a shoulder injury. The Jets announced today that starting free safety Jon McGraw is expected to miss two-to-four weeks of action due to a right shoulder subluxation.

McGraw, in his second NFL season was injured during the Jets’ 30-3 win over the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. In five games this season, all of which he started, McGraw recorded 21 tackles, including a ten-tackle game at New England in week three, and a pass defensed.

Bad news for a secondary that is already very banged up. CB Donnie Abraham (shoulder) will be out for another 2-3 weeks and CB Jamie Henderson (ankle) is doubtful for this week’s game against Houston. Tyrone Carter and rookie Derek Pagel will see time at FS while McGraw is out.
