Two more Jets players on the shelf

WR Wayne Chrebet (back) and CB Jamie Henderson (knee) were downgraded from questionable to out for this week’s game. With Chrebet out it means that Curtis Conway will return to the starting lineup opposite Santana Moss. It also means that Kevin Swayne and Jonathan Carter will likely get some more reps.

Chrebet injured his back in the second quarter of the Buffalo game after he took a vicious hit by Bills defensive end Aaron Schobel. He only played a few more plays after the hit. Chrebet has been sore all week and has not practiced. Coach Edwards hopes he’ll be back for the Eagles next week.

With Henderson out of the lineup, newly signed CB Ray Green will be thrown right to the dogs and should see some significant playing time. Did I just hear David Carr licking his chops?

C Kevin Mawae again “tweaked” his right knee during scrimmages yesterday. He was re-taped and returned to practice shortly thereafter. He will definitely play on Sunday. Word around camp is that suspended DT Josh Evans will likely be re-instated and be available for the Raiders game on Novenber 9th
