In what could be the final complete game of his career, Vinny Testaverde threw his 250th career touchdown pass and led the Jets to their second straight victory, 19-14 over the Texans in Houston on Sunday. Following an abysmal first quarter in which the Jets totaled -9 yards of offense, and after falling behind 14-0 on two Stacy Mack rushing touchdowns, Vinny and the Jets ended the first half with an impressive 91 yard drive capped off by a 18 yard TD pass to Santana Moss. After the half, a pair of Doug Brien field goals cut the deficit to one while the Jets defense kept the upstart Texans off the board -- despite giving up the first 100 yard rushing game by a single back in the Texans short history. Rookie Domanick Davis put up 129 yards on the Jets in 27 carries. A late Lamont Jordan rushing touchdown (and a missed two point conversion) put the Jets up by 5 with 1:26 left to play. Gang Green received a scare when J.J. Moses took the ensuing kickoff 63 yards, giving Houston the ball deep in Jets territory and putting the outcome in doubt. Texans QB David Carr drove Houston to inside the 10, where a fourth and 4 pass caromed off the hands of rookie receiver Andre Johnson, sealing the win for New York. Shaun Ellis recorded a sack for the ninth straight game, Victor Hobson recorded his first career sack.
