The list of Gang Greenís walking wounded grew larger today as another player was deemed done for the year. S Jon McGraw was placed on injured reserve after he re-injured his shoulder on Sunday against the Colts. The team filled his roster spot by activating DT Josh Evans. McGraw, the second-year man from Kansas State recorded 29 tackles (20 solo) in six games this season and has made 72 for his career, along with an interception, three passes defensed and a forced fumble in 21 career appearances, seven of them starts. It is speculated that McGraw will likely have surgery to repair damage to his injured shoulder. Tyrone Carter will take over the starting FS position for the rest of the season.

Evans, an eighth-year defensive tackle from the University of Alabama-Birmingham signed with the Jets on July 17, 2002 and started all 16 games of the Clubís 2002 season, recording 58 tackles (47 solo), six sacks and recovered two fumbles. Evans was suspended by the Commissioner in the offseason and was ineligible to participate in team activities before being reinstated on November 4. The 6-3, 280-pound lineman has recorded 283 tackles, 20.5 sacks two forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries in 87 career games.
