In the aftermath of an ugly 13-10 win over Jacksonville on Sunday, here are a few Monday tidbits including the status of DE John Abraham and Titans QB Steve McNair for the game next Monday.

Abraham re-injured his strained groin in the second quarter of Sunday’s game and is listed as doubtful for the Titans. The All-Pro defensive end has become a very fragile commodity this season by missing three games due to injury and one due to misconduct stemming from his DWI.

Besides Abraham, there were no other players reporting any significant injuries.

After the game from hell last week in Indy, Jets CB Aaron Beasley bounced back very formidably by stopping two Jaguar scoring drives with a fumble recovery and interception. Beasley also led the team with nine tackles.

Coach Edwards today praised his cornerback. “He (Beasley) took some criticism last week and for him to bounce back is a true testament to him in the fact that he didn't get discouraged” The Coach went on. “He didn't allow last week affect how he was going to play this week and really came up with two big turnovers.”

Titans QB Steve McNair suffered a strained calf in Sunday's game against the Falcons and is listed as doubtful for this week’s Monday night matchup. Mc Nair was scheduled for an MRI today to determine the extent of the damage. However, don’t grin just yet, Jets Fans. McNair is the posterboy for toughness in the NFL and regularly plays through injuries.

Titans Coach Jeff Fisher told the media today not to count Mc Nair out. "We know what his history is," Said Fisher. "He wants very badly to play in this ballgame. The last time we played in the Meadowlands, he did not practice and probably won't practice this week. If he's able to play, in all likelihood it will be a pregame type of decision."

With the longer week due to the Monday night game, the Coach gave the team an extra day off. The team returns to practice on Thursday will have regular practices on Thanksgiving Day, Friday and Saturday.
