Donít count McNair out for Monday night

Despite still being listed as questionable for Mondayís matchup against the Jets, unless heís in a wheelchair, Titans QB Steve McNair will likely play. Despite still being listed as questionable for Mondayís matchup against the Jets, unless heís in a wheelchair, Titans QB Steve McNair will likely play.

McNair, who is arguably the toughest QB in the league today, is nursing a strained calf muscle and has not practiced all week. He will likely be a game time decision by Coach Jeff Fisher on Monday. Last year, McNair battled injuries for what seemed to be the entire season and didnít practice once during the teamís last five games. Even while nursing injuries and without practice, McNair led the Titans to the AFC Championship game. Our money is that the gritty #9 will be under center on Monday. If McNair canít go, four year veteran backup QB Billy Volek of Fresno State will play.

For the Jets, Safety David Young is listed as OUT for the second week in a row with a strained hamstring and DE John Abraham is DOUBTFUL and likely will not play after re-aggrivating a strained groin last Sunday against Jacksonville.
