Bills may be without Bledsoe
December 4th, 2003
After lingering headaches stemmed from a helmet to helmet blow against the Giants last week, Buffalo QB Drew Bledsoe may not play against the Jets this Sunday. After lingering headaches stemmed from a helmet to helmet blow against the Giants last week, Buffalo QB Drew Bledsoe may not play against the Jets this Sunday.

Bledsoe did not practice Wednesday and although he is expected to be back in action today, it will be a gametime decision as to whether Bledsoe will start. If he canít go, backup QB Alex Van Pelt will take over the Bills QB duties.

This news isnít actually good for the Jets since Bledsoe hasnít beaten Gang Green since opening day 1999 when he was still the starting QB for the Patriots.

As for the Jets, S David Young is still listed as OUT and DE John Abraham is listed as DOUBTFUL. Coach Edwards assessed Abrahamís progress at his daily press conference today. ďHe (Abraham) walked around yesterday, he has a fast walk. He's not running, but he's just doubtful at this point. Doesn't look real good for this game.Ē

LB Sam Cowart is also on the injury list with a sore knee and is listed as PROBABLE for the game Sunday. Edwards said Cowart will be ready to go.
