Jets backup CB Jamie Henderson was involved in a motorcycle accident on Saturday night. Although the team has yet to make an official statement on Henderson’s condition, reports say his injuries could be “career threatening”.

The accident occurred in Atlanta GA and according to the NJ Star Ledger, Henderson’s injuries are not life threatening but may be bad enough to end his days in the NFL. He was reportedly wearing a helmet when the incident occurred.

If the Jets do lose Henderson, it would be a big blow to the Jets re-tooled secondary. The 6’2”, 202 Lb. 4th year player is used in the nickel and dime package and was planned on being used more extensively this season. He was also third on the team last season with 20 special teams tackles.

Jets Insider.com will publish an official status report of Henderson as soon as it becomes available. Check back often.
