Although the deal has not been officially announced by the team, the NJ Star Ledger is confirming the signing.

The 25 year old Blaylock (5’9” 210 Lbs.), who will be entering his fifth year in the league, had been with the Chiefs his entire career and was originally a fifth round draft pick out of Stephen F. Austin University in 2001. In limited work as a backup to Priest Holmes, Blaylock has averaged 4.6 yards per carry during his career and last season while Holmes was injured, he ran for 539 yards and 8 TD’s.

The deal is reportedly a five year contract worth $11MM with a $3MM signing bonus. Blaylock will immediately step in to LaMont Jordan’s old role as main backup to Pro Bowl RB Curtis Martin.
