The Jets announced the signing of free agent S Jeremy LeSeuer to the practice squad.

LeSeuer, 24, was signed by Denver as a draft pick on July 27, 2004 after he was selected by the Broncos in the third round (85th overall) of the 2004 Draft. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve rehabbing a hernia injury and was released on September 3, 2005. The 6-foot, 204-pound safety attended the University of Michigan, where he recorded 170 tackles, two sacks, 27 pass deflections and three forced fumbles while playing in 50 career games from 1999-03. As a former cornerback at Michigan, he earned second-team All-Big Ten Conference honors his senior year. He also set a single-season record in kick-return yards (583) as a junior, while tying a school record with 26 returns that year.

LeSeuer will wear number 31 with the Jets.
