Head Coach Herm Edwards announced prior to today's game that RB Curtis Martin would be inactive due to a sore knee. Martin will also undergo arthroscopic knee surgery this week which will end his season.

Martin's knee was injured during week 2 against the Dolphins and the 32 year old 11 year veteran has been playing in pain since then.

With Martin done for the year it will end his streak of 119 consecutive games and also prevent him from 11 straight 1000 yard rushing seasons. He ends 2005 265 yards short with 735 rushing yards.

Rookie Cedric Houston will start in Martin's place today and likely for the rest of the season.
