With a big hole at tackle, the Jets added some needed depth by signing veteran free agent tackle Anthony Clement.
Clement, a massive 30 year old specimen at 6’8”-338 Lbs, is entering his ninth season in the league. He played last season for the 49ers after spending his first seven seasons with Arizona. Clement has played in 96 games during his career, starting 75 of them. The signing of Clement will not necessarily mean that the Jets still won’t be looking to draft premier Virginia tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson if he’s available. However, with Clement on board it gives the team much more flexibility with the departure of T Jason Fabini. |
