The Jets resumed the 2006 draft today by choosing Missouri QB Brad Smith with the 103rd pick. Although Smith was a QB in college he’s going to be converted to WR in the pros.
The 6’2” – 213 LB Smith was a four year starter for Missouri who garnered All-Conference honors since his freshman year. He’s an outstanding athlete with speed, who should have little problem switching positions.
The Jets pick again in the 4th round (#117). This selection was acquired from Kansas City as compensation for Herman Edwards.
