Former Nebraska DT Titus Adams is touted as a good run stuffer in the middle.
With their final selection in the 2006 NFL Draft, the Jets added to their defensive line by selecting tackle Titus Adams from Nebraska.
The 6’3” 306 Lb Adams was a three year starter for the Cornhuskers where he made 50 tackles and 5 sacks as a senior. Adams' scouting report lists him as an excellent run stuffer with nice hands and a good burst of speed off the line. Concerns are his overall strength and stamina which the Jets staff will obviously work to improve.
The Jets end the draft with ten total selections, six on offense and four on defense. Two players, T D’Brickasaw Ferguson and C Nick Mangold could potentially be instant starters while the rest of the field adds much needed depth to several areas. The rookies will get their first taste of NFL action when the team holds their first minicamp in two weeks.
