Ending a busy day in the Jets' front office, the team traded QB Brooks Bollinger to the Vikings for DL CJ Mosley according to the Minnesota Pioneer Press.

Neither team at press time are commenting about the deal but Sean Jensen of the Pioneer press is confirming the move. He also is reporting the Jets got an undisclosed draft pick in the transaction.

With the Jets acquiring Washington QB Patrick Ramsey in the off season and then extending his contract soon after as well as drafting Kellen Clemens in April, it was widely speculated that Bollinger, a four year veteran with the Jets, would not make the final cut. There had been rumors of the team putting feelers out around the league looking for a possible trade suitor.

Mosley, entering his second year in the NFL was originally a sixth round pick out of Missouri for the Vikings last year. Last season, the 6'2" 314Lb DT had 15 tackles and 3 sacks. He will instantly go into the rotation of Jets defensive linemen that lost Monsanto Pope to retirement and Sione Pouha to injury during camp.

The trade of Bollinger is the third move the Jets front office has made today after announcing earlier that they unloaded TE Doug Jolley to the Bucs and acquired TE Sean Ryan from the Cowboys. The compensation for Jolley is reportedly a sixth round pick in next year's draft which they then gave the Cowboys for Ryan.
