The Jets announced they have re-signed T Marko Cavka and signed FA Kicer Justin Ayat.
Cavka (6-7, 294), was originally a sixth round pick of the Jets in 2004 out of Sacramento State. Cavka spent most of 2004 and 2005 between the incative roster and the Jets practice squad before being released during training camp last season. He rejoins the Jets after spending 2006 with the Amsterdam Admirals in NFL Europa.
Ayat (5-11, 205), a 2004 graduate of the University of Hawaii, was successful on 191-of-209 extra point attempts and converted 59-of-89 field goal attempts, including a career-long 56-yarder, in his college career.
